Respondent is an oil and gas operator in the Gulf of Mexico that had an oil based mud spill during drilling operations in the Eugene Island lease area, block 208. The discharge was about 0.5 barrels on May 17, 2005. EPA is ordering Respondent to take whatever action necessary to mitigate the discharge and prevent its recurrence.
