On November 2, the U.S. Air Force issued an Action Memorandum (AM) for a Non-Time Critical Removal Action (NTCRA) for one (1) offsite residential drinking water well impacted by PFOS/PFOA related to the C-5 Crash Area Site at Dover Air Force Base (DAFB). The AM states that a new drinking water well will be installed at one (1) residential property south of the base. The residential property is currently connected to a point of entry treatment system (POETS). The new well will be installed into the Cheswold Aquifer, a deeper, unimpacted aquifer. Once complete, the existing PFOS/PFOA impacted water supply well and POETS will be decommissioned. A concurrence letter was issued by EPA on August 9. DAFB is located in an EJ Community as shown in EJ Screen.
