This is an Administrative Consent Order pursuant to SDWA issued to the National Park Service regarding the Kalaupapa National Historical Park. The NPS operates 20 large capacity cesspools that were not closed by the April 5, 2005 deadline. The violation involves the continued use of these cesspools and allowing the discharge of raw sewage directly into the ground. The Consent Order requires the NPS to close all large capacity cesspools no later than February 28,2008.
