EPA Settles with Awardcraft of Bloomington, Minnesota, for RCRA Violations
On 09/26/2005, EPA Region 5 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act against Awardcraft, Incorporated, for the failure to comply with hazardous waste management procedures at its facility formerly located in Bloomington, Minnesota. The violations were identified during an inspection at the facility. In particular, the Respondent was cited for improperly labeling hazardous waste containers, which is a failure to comply with a generator condition for a permit exemption under 40 CFR part 262. The Respondent was also cited for violating a generator waste determination requirement under 40 CFR part 262, as well as for violating certain personnel training, container management, and tank requirements, which are required of hazardous waste storage facilities under 40 CFR part 265. A $ 9,980 fine was assessed.
