This is a Consent Order pursuant to SDWA issued to the Mayor Bryan J. Baptiste regarding the County of Kauai. The County of Kauai operates 48 large capacity cesspools that were not closed by the April 5, 2005 deadline. The violation involves the continued use of cesspools allowing the discharge of raw sewage directly into the ground. The Agreement requires the County of Kauai to close all large capacity cesspools no later than August 31, 2006.
