VIOLATIONS: The Respondent's oil field facility was a point source discharge of pollutants, specifically produced water, to the receiving waters of Maddox Creek, located in Montague County, Texas. A November 4, 2005, EPA inspection documented the discharge of produced water from the facility�s tank battery to the creek.
RELIEF: The Order specifies that the Respondent should take steps to cease all discharges of pollutants and to take the necessary steps to prevent future discharges. Additionally, the Order asks the Respondent to consider installing an automatically activated sump pump. A follow-up inspection will determine the extent of compliance with the Order.
