On December 22, 2005, Region 5 filed an Administrative Complaint against Dana Container, Incorporated (Dana Container) located at 11430 Russell Street and 1551 Caniff Street, Detroit, Michigan. The Complaint alleges that Dana Container failed to label, date, and keep closed some hazardous waste containers and conduct inspections on the containers. Dana Container also failed to implement hazardous waste training and documentation, and a contingency plan for one of its facilities. Furthermore, the Complaint alleges that Dana Container failed to fully comply with preparedness and prevention of emergency requirements. The Complaint proposes a penalty of $381,730.
