H. Kramer violated the New Source Performance Standards, Subpart M, for Brass and Bronze Manufacturing Facilities. The rule required testing and notification for five new furnaces. H. Kramer has agreed to pay a $10,000 penalty and conduct a $500,000 Supplemental Environmental Project (SEP). The SEP consists of upgrades to their rotary furnace casthouse to reduce fugitive particulate matter to the atmosphere. On June 1, 2007, an amended Consent Agreement and Final Order was issued to H. Kramer and filed with the Regional Hearing clerk due to a change of cost for the SEP. The original cost for the SEP was $413,872 and the amended cost is $525,737.
