VIOLATIONS: The Respondents oil field facility was a point source discharge of pollutants, specifically produced water, to the receiving waters of a tributary of the Canadian River, located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 12, Township 10 North, Range 9 East, Okfuskee County, Oklahoma. A February 14, 2006 EPA inspection documented the discharge of brine from the facility.
RELIEF: The Order specifies that the Respondent should also take steps to cease all discharges of pollutants; take the necessary steps to prevent future discharges; and to neutralize the brine contaminated area east of the facility by applying soil amendments to neutralize the sodium chloride.
