U.S. EPA Region 5 recently issued a Consent Agreement and Final Order(CAFO) under the Clean Air Act to Flavor Concepts Inc.. On February 20, 2008 , EPA issued a Notice of Violation (NOV) to Flavor Concepts Inc. for violation the Illinois State Implementation Plan, by allegedly failing to obtain a construction and operating permit. Per the CAFO, Flavor Concepts Inc. will pay a penalty of $53,827.
The facility has obtained a lifetime operating permit with Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.
