Violation: The respondent's oil field facility was a point source discharge of a pollutant to a waters of the US. The facility was inspected by the EPA on June 11, 2009. During the inspection the EPA observed an unauthorized discharge of oil field brine from the facility to a tributary of Spring Branch Creek.
Relief: An Administrative Order is being issued requiring the Respondent to perform the following: cease all discharges of pollutants from the facility; remove all brine and contaminated soils from the flow path located between the facility and tributary; remove all the brine from the tributary of Spring Branch Creek; and to submit written certification that the Order has been complied with.
