Summary

Administrative Order issued on June 8, 2009 for failure to sample for TTHM and HAA5 during May, August, and November 2008, and February 2009 according to system's standard monitoring plan for Stage 2 Disinfectants Byproducts Rule (Stage 2 DBPR). The AO requires the system to conduct standard monitoring for TTHM and HAA5 at 2 standard monitoring sites according to a revised standard monitorig plan. System met the requirements of the AO by monitoring for total trihalomethanes (TTHM) and haloacetic acids (HAA5) according to its revised Stage 2 Disinfectants and Disinfection Byproducts Rule (Stage 2 DBPR) standard monitoring plan which was approved by EPA on July 2, 2009. System also submitted an Initial Distribution System Report on March 9, 2010, and EPA issued Somers Water Utility a Notification of IDSE Report Completeness March 15, 2010. Finally, system provided public notice for the violations cited in the AO. A letter terminating the AO was issued on March 25, 2010.
