## Summary

On September 29, 2008 at approximately 9:46 p.m. approximately 454 pounds of ammonia was released to the atmosphere through a stack approximately 30 feet above the E-700 unit. The ammonia vapors were carried via a 6.5 mile per hour wind, south-southwest towards the town of Columbia City, 0.6 miles away. Records indicate that the NRC first received notification of the September 29, 2008 release by telephone from Dyno Nobel approximately 10 hours and 56 minutes after the initial release of ammonia over the RQ occurred.
