In a letter written to EPA a representative of The Dow Chemical Company disclosed violations of section 8(e) of TSCA. Specifically, The Dow Chemical Company submitted to EPA an acute rat inhalation study involving a chemical substance that had not been previously reported to the Agency as required by TSCA section 8(e).
The Dow Chemical Company also disclosed violations of section 8(d) of TSCA. Specifically, The Dow Chemical Company informed EPA that the company had failed to submit to EPA as required 45 health and safety studies that were subject to a TSCA section 8(d) rule that required submission of non-exempt health and safety studies for certain High Production Volume orphan chemicals.
