Oversight  of the cleanup of the Gibbstown Plant Superfund Site was transferred from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) to U.S. EPA. Respondent previously conducted remediation of a portion of its property in accordance with a 1996 Record of Decision issued by NJDEP. Respondent and EPA have now entered into a Settlement Agreement and Order on Consent in which the Respondent committed to conduct a Remedial Investigation and Feasibility Study on the rest of this 350 acre site.
