On June 30, 2011, Region I filed a consent agreement and final order resolving Tanner Industries, Inc.Âs (Tanner) civil administrative penalty liability for violations of the Clean Air ActÂs Section 112(r) Risk Management Plan (RMP) requirements at the companyÂs facility in East Providence, Rhode Island. Tanner operates a number of ammonia distribution facilities across the country. In settlement, Tanner has agreed to pay a $28,350 penalty and install ammonia leak detection systems at six of its facilities nationwide, which will cost approximately $170,720. The installation is not a supplemental environmental project.
