## Summary

On September 30, 2009, EPA issued a record of decision for Operable Unit 1 of the remedial action at the Lightman Drum Company Superfund Site. Subsequently, On November 5, 2010, EPA issued a general notice letter to 22 PRPs offering them an opportunity to finance and perform the OU-1 remedial design and remedial action.

The Region has decided to issue a unilateral administrative order for the RD/RA.

The Amendment directs the companies to implement the ROD Amendment issued by EPA in September 2019 for the Site. The ROD Amendment modifies the groundwater remedy originally selected in September 2009 from extraction and treatment of hot spot areas to monitored natural attention. The remainder of the ROD that the companies must implement remains unchanged. This Amendment also updates the financial assurance requirement.

On June 25, 2020, EPA met by conference call with counsel for Respondents to the Order to discuss issues regarding implementation of the Order. As a result of that meeting, Amendment #2 and the Addendum to the Statement of Work (SOW) was modified.
