On March 24, 2005, a Consent Agreement and Final Order (���CAFO���), was filed resolving violations of AHERA at The Glen Mills Schools (���Respondent���). Respondent violated AHERA by failing to 1) conduct an inspection of each school building; 2) develop an operations and maintenance plan; 3) submit a management plan to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection; 4) notify in writing parent, teacher, and employee organizations of the availability of the management plan; and 5) designate and adequately train a person to ensure that the requirements of the AHERA regulations are properly implemented. These violations occurred at The Glen Mills Schools located at Glen Mills Road, Glen Mills, PA. The violations were voluntarily disclosed by Respondent on October 30, 2001. Since Respondent expended $58,000 in order to come into compliance with AHERA, the CAFO provides for a civil penalty of $55,000, with a zero dollar cash component, in accordance with Section 207(a) and (c) of TSCA, 15 U.S.C. �� 2647(a) and (c).
