VIOLATIONS: The Respondent's oil field facility was a point source discharge of pollutants, specifically produced water, to the receiving waters of a tributary of Hulah Lake, located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 26, Township 29 North, Range 11 East, Osage County, Oklahoma. An April 27, 2006, EPA inspection documented the discharge of brine from the facility. On May 31, 2006, EPA issued to the Respondent a Cease and Desist Order Docket No. CWA-06-2006-2061 for the same violation.
RELIEF: The Order specifies that the Respondent should also take steps to cease all discharges of pollutants; take the necessary steps to prevent future discharges; and to neutralize or remove contaminated soils.
