Violation: The Respondent's tank battery facility was a point source which discharged a pollutant to a waters of the US. The facility was inspected by the EPA on August 31, 2010. During the inspection the EPA inspector observed where the facility had discharged oil field brine to a tributary of Rock Creek.
Relief: A cease and desist AO is being issued to the Respondent requiring the following: cease the discharges of pollutants from the facility; remove all the brine from the flow path; remove all the brine from the impacted water body; and to submit written certification.
