Oregon Holdings IV, LLC, (Respondent) has agreed to pay a penalty of $75,000 for its alleged violation of Section 301 of the Clean Water Act (CWA), 33 U.S.C. § 1311. This civil penalty would resolve the allegations that Respondent discharged pollutants from a point source into approximately 6.3 acres of wetlands in Oregon, Ohio, without a permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers pursuant to Section 404 of the CWA, 33 U.S.C. § 1344. The alleged violation is of environmental significance because it allegedly led to the loss of wetlands and their values within the Lake Erie watershed.
