## Summary

This is a Unilateral Administrative Order that requires the Respondents to implement the remedial action (RA) for the groundwater remedy at the JIS Landfill Superfund Site pursuant to Section 106(a) of CERCLA. Data collected since the original Record of Decision (ROD) has indicated that biosparging is a feasible technology for remediating groundwater at the Site and merited a comparison with the extraction and treatment system previously selected in the ROD. On September 29, 2009, EPA issued an amendment to the ROD (ROD Amendment), which describes the changes in the remedy for groundwater in the primary plume, and supersedes the groundwater remedy for the primary plume described in the ROD. The Order requires the work carry out the requirements of the ROD Amendment.
