Under a consent decree with DOJ and U.S. EPA, for the alleged violation of the Maricopa SIP Rule 316 (dust/particulates control), Fisher Sand and Gravel has agreed to pay a $150,000 penalty and install spray bars on the inlet and outlet of all crushers, the outlet of all shaker screens, and the outlet of all material transfer points (excluding wet plants) prior to operating crushers and screening operations for nonmetallic minerals at the Phoenix facility.
