EPA took action against Kayenta under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act - Underground Storage Tank regulations, for failure to document calibratrion, maintenance, and repair of release detection equipment. They were also cited for failure to install piping in accordance with accepted codes and standards. Kayenta paid a $200 penalty and corrected the violations.
