On July 9, 2010, Siemens Energy & Automation located in El Paso, Texas was audited pursuant to Section 313 of EPCRA (reporting toxic chemical releases and other waste management activities) and four (4) reporting violation were discovered. The facility failed to report phenol, styrene, zinc compounds, and copper for Reporting Year (RY) 2008. A combination Complaint and CAFO was filed with the Regional Hearing Clerk and sent to the facility on December 15, 2010, with a final assessed civil penalty of $54,548.
