On April 11, 2011, Region I entered into an expedited settlement agreement with Reliant Aircraft Services, Inc. (Reliant) that addresses violations of the Oil Pollution Prevention regulations at 40 C.F.R. Part 112, promulgated under Section 311(j) of the Clean Water Act. Specifically, Reliant failed to have an adequate Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure plan at its facility in Danbury, Connecticut. Pursuant to the agreement, Reliant will pay a $6,000 penalty.
