This Order is issued pursuant to the authority vested in the President of the United States by Section 106(a) of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980, as amended (CERCLA), 42 U.S.C. § 9606(a), and delegated to the Administrator of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA). This Order pertains to property located at 2525 Prairieton Road, Terre Haute, Indiana (the Western Tar Products Site). This Order requires the Respondent to conduct removal activities described herein to abate an imminent and substantial endangerment to the public health, welfare or the envirormient that may be presented by the actual or threatened release of hazardous substances at or from the site.
