Anaplex Corporation is subject to the federal pretreatment limits for metal finishers. Over the reviewed time period of 2-1/2 years, Anaplex exceeded the federal limits for chromium, cadmium, nickel, and zinc on at least 23 occations. In addition, Anaplex failed to monitor properly for cyanide. The administrative order includes a request for information, requires the facility to make the necessary changes to comply consistently with the applicable federal limits and with the federal cyanide monitoring requirements, and requires the facility to self-monitor and report to EPA for one year.
