## Summary

EPA Region 6 issued  an Administrative Complaint, Cease and Desist Order, under our authority pursuant to the Clean Water Act (CWA)to Fremont Exploration, Inc. located in Cleveland,OK. The Respondent’s oil field facility was a point source which discharged a pollutant to waters of the United States. The facility was inspected by the EPA on June 10, 2011. During the inspection, the EPA observed that a tank battery facility had discharged oil field brine and produced wastewater to Wildhorse Creek. A Cease and Desist Administrative Order was issued to Fremont Exploration, Inc. on June 28, 2011.  The Administrative Complaint was issued in response to violations of Section 301 of the CWA, 33 U.S.C. § 1311.
