EPA inspected four Port Authority facilities: two in New York and two in New Jersey. RCRA violations were observed at all facilities. Violations found included: failure to make waste determinations on waste rags, aerosol cans, and misc. lab wastes; failure to label waste containers, failure to mark waste containers with accumulation start dates, storage of hazardous waste for greater than 90 days, weekly inspections of hazardous waste storage areas, and emergency equipment in hazardous waste storage areas. As of the response to EPA's Notice of Violation, the violations were corrected.
