On November 15, 2011, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Penalty Order to Osage Energy Resources, LLC, located in Pahuska, OK, for violation of section 301 of the Clean Water Act. The Order proposes a penalty for the unauthorized discharge of oil field brine to Rock Creek by Osage Energy Resources. Osage Energy Resources must respond to EPA within 30 days of the effective date of the Order. The penalty was settled and a signed, final Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) was filed by EPA Region 6 on March 30, 2012.
