On March 14, 2012, EPA initiated and concluded FIFRA enforcement actions against North Safety Products, LLC of Cranston, Rhode Island for the company's violations of federal pesticide reporting requirements. In lieu of penalties, the settlement requires the company to cancel its pesticide-producing establishment registration and to not produce pesticides or re-register its establishment for at least five years.
