On November 25, 2011, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) and Administrative Complaint (APO) under its authority pursuant to Clean Water Act to the City of Aztec, New Mexico. The AO and APO were issued for violation of the Total Phosphorus and Total Nitrogen requirement. The administrative Order requires the City of Aztec to certify compliance with effluent limitations for Total Phosphorus and Total Nitrogen within thirty (30) days. The City of Aztec must also respond to EPA Region 6 within 30 days of receipt of the Order.
