On 7/19/2007, Specialty Heat Treating notified the NRC of a release of 920 lbs of ammonia which took place and was discovered at their Elkhart, IN facility on 7/15/2007. This notification came in excess of 4 days following the release which violates CERCLA 103a's requirement of immediate NRC notification following the discovery of a hazardous substance release.
