On September 16, 2011, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under our authority pursuant to the Clean Water Act (CWA) to Jireh Resources, LLC located in Osage County, Oklahoma. The AO was issued in response to violations of 301 of the CWA. The AO requires Jireh Resources, LLC to (1) Cease all discharges of pollutants from the facility (2) remove all brine and contaminated soils from the flow path (3) remove all brine from the tributary of Little Hominy Creek (4) submit written certification. On December 13, 2011, EPA Region 6 issued a Complaint to Jireh Resources, proposing a civil penalty. The final CAFO was issued on 3/5/2012, requiring the Respondent to pay a penalty.
