This action is a result of a routine hazardous waste inspection conducted by the Waste Management Division. The inspections of Electrochem were conducted on December 3, 2010 and March 9, 2011. Electrochem will pay a penalty of $25,000 and is certifying that all identified violations have been corrected. The facility has submitted documentation to support that all the identified violations have been corrected. Additionally, the facility will be submitting to EPA quarterly hazardous waste inventory reports and will be constructing a roof over the wastewater treatment area.
