ROD issued in January 2012. PRP is motivated to begin remedial action in mid-May. Remedial design has begun under the existing RI/FS AOC. Plan is to issue a joint UAO with the USDA/Forest Service, which currently serves as the lead agency. Major aspects of the remedy include capturing and treating contaminated groundwater and surface water, capping tailings and waste rock piles, demolishing the mill building and removing hazardous waste.
