## Summary

This is a EPA settlement with Biosearch, a manufacturer of products, such as DNA sequencing kits for the discovery of genetic information for medical and research.  A February 2011 inspection of its Novato, CA facility revealed various vioaltions including failure to manage hazardous waste in a closed container in good condition, and failure to comply with hazwaste training requirements for employees.  The facility also did not meet requirements for contingency plans for accidents and emergencies.

As a result, Biosearch Technologies was fined $31,500 these hazardous waste management violations.
