A Consent Agreement and Final Order was finalized with the Respondent dealing with RCRA violations concerning the management of hazardous waste at facilities located in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas and Christiansted, St. Croix. EPAÂs complaint alleged the Respondent: (1) failed to make hazardous waste determinations,(2) operated without a permit, 3) failed to comply with Universal Waste requirements, and 4) failed to comply with used oil burners requirements. The settlement requires the payment of a civil penalty of $82,564, compliance with each regulation alleged to have been violated, and a series of additional requirements designed to ensure RespondentÂs continuous compliance with RCRA and its implementing regulations in the future.
