On December 17, 2012, Region 10 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order with Princess Cruise Lines, Ltd. (Respondent) for violations of the NPDES permits issued to the Respondent for discharges from its cruise ship vessel, Golden Princess (Vessel). The Vessel is covered by the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Vessel General Permit (VGP) issued under Section 402 of CWA. Violations of the VGP include unpermitted discharge of pool and spa water into Glacier Bay National Park. Respondent has agreed to pay a $20,000 penalty.
