This case addresses violations of the Clean Air Act (CAA) by Wayne/Scott Fetzer Company, an importer of water pumps located in Bensenville, Illinois. In May 2011 Wayne/Scott imported 210 Chinese engines which had carburetors with adjustable idle mixture screws. The certificate of conformity for these engines does not allow for an adjustable idle mixture screw.
