Region 1 has filed a CAFO resolving an enforcement action against Holland Company, Inc. (Holland) for similar violations of the CAA and the RMP Regulations. Holland is a related company to PCA, and operates a facility adjacent to the PCA facility. Under the terms of its CAFO, Holland will pay a penalty of $85,166 (plus interest) for its alleged violations of the CAA and RMP Regulations, 40 C.F.R. Part 68 at its facility in Adams, Massachusetts. The Holland and PCA facilities are located in an area where a large percentage of the residents are over age 64. This enforcement action helps to reduce the potential threat and/or harm that may result from an accidental chemical release at the facility.
