An AO was issued to the system and required the system to sample for nitrate and notify the public of past violations. On 3/13/01 IDEM granted the system a variance which allows nitrate levels of up to 20 milligrams per liter, provided it continues to meet all the conditions of the variance. On 3/3/03 R5 issued a letter withdrawing the AO.
