## Summary

This settlement is part of a national case against Sam's Club/Wal-Mart stores led by Region 7.  Sam's Club allowed the sale of Class I and II refrigerants to non-certified persons on 20 separate occasions spanning locations across the country.  Sam's Club has agreed to stop this practice and pay a civil penalty of $400,000.  Region 5 had a total of 3 facilities/buys in which we received $20,000 penalty credit for each, totalling $60,000 in penalties.
