Summary

On October 1, 2012, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Sections 308 and 309 of the Clean Water Act (CWA) to Little River Energy Company located in Creek County, Oklahoma. The AO was issued in response to an unauthorized discharge violation of Section 301 of the CWA. The AO requires Little River Energy Company to: 1) Cease all discharges of pollutants from the facility; 2) remove all brine from the flow path located in between the facility and the identified tributary of Tiger Creek; and 3) remove all brine from the tributary of Tiger Creek, located at Latitude 35? 58.490' North and Longitude 96? 35.290' West, which was discharged from the facility on or about August 28, 2012. Little River Energy Company must respond to EPA Region 6 within 30 days of receiving the AO.
