Summary

On Nov 28, 2012, EPA Region 6 issued an Administrative Order (AO) under its authority pursuant to Section 301 of the Clean Water Act (CWA) to B-3 Oil company located in Caldwell county, Luling, TX. The AO was issued in response to violations of an unauthorized discharge of oil field brine and producted wastewater to a water of the U.S. The AO orders B-3 Oil to cease and desist all discharges of pollutants from the facility; obtain permit coverage; and remove brine from the discharge flow path and the tributary of the West Fork of Plum Creek. B-3 Oil must respond to EPA within thirty (30) days of receipt of the AO.
