At 9:00 am on 3/26/2011, PVS Chemical Solutions had knowledge of a release of 2845 lbs of sulfuric acid into the environment. This is 2.8 times the chemical's RQ of 1000 lbs. The NRC wasn't notified of the release until 12:20 pm which is 3 hours and 20 minutes following the incident.
