On February 28, 2013, Region 10 filed a Consent Agreement and Final Order (CAFO) settling a case against In Suk Yi and Hye Rang Yi, the owners and operators of underground storage tanks (USTs) at Pik-A-Pop #12 in Othello, WA. Mr. and Mrs. Yi agree to pay a $20,427 penalty for failing to monitor their tanks monthly for releases to the environment, failing to conduct required annual tests on the piping, and failing to conduct required cathodic protection tests of their UST systems. The CAFO also requires Mr. and Mrs. Yi to provide monthly tank monitoring reports to the Region for the next six months.
