This is an Administrative Penalty action pursuant to EPCRA 313 issued to Barrick Gold US, Inc. dba Bald Mountain & Mooney Basin Gold Mine. The violations involve failure to file timely and/or correct Toxic Chemical Release Inventory Forms required under Section 313 for: cyanide compounds, hydrogen cyanide, mercury compounds, and nitrate compounds in 2007; and copper compounds, cyanide compounds, lead compounds, mercury compounds, methanol, and nitrate compounds in 2008. The violations were observed during a facility desktop inspection initiated on 7/14/2009. The CAFO assesses a penalty of thirty-seven thousand five hundred seventy-three dollars ($37,573).
