This is an Administrative Penalty action pursuant to EPCRA 313 issued to Homestake Mining Company of California dba Ruby Hill Gold Mine. The violations involve failure to file timely and/or correct Toxic Chemical Release Inventory Forms required under Section 313 for: antimony compounds, arsenic compounds, barium compounds, chromium compounds, copper compounds, cyanide compounds, mercury compounds, and zinc compounds in 2007; and arsenic compounds, barium compounds, cyanide compounds, lead compounds, mercury compounds, nitrate compounds, and zinc compounds in 2008. The violations were observed during a facility desktop inspection initiated on 3/4/2010. The CAFO assesses a penalty of eighty-one thousand five hundred thirty-five dollars ($81,535).
